Neonatally streptozotocin-induced diabetic (n-STZ) rats were given food containing Lactobacilins GG cells (GG) er a control diet <control), from 9 to 18 weeks of age. The GG cells significantly lovvered the blood hemoglobin Aic (HbAic) level and improved glucose to]erance in n-STZ rats (p <O.05). In the GG group, the serum iitsulin level at 30 min after gl"cose loading was significantly higher than in the contro] group (p <O.05).
